Creating Connections, Empowering Communities
Growing up, my father told me “helping your community...that’s just what you do.” He was my role model, serving 23 years in the Navy and then going on to work for Washington State’s Department of Natural Resources. He inspired me to pursue a Masters in Public Administration at Portland State University. From there, I went on to work in the nonprofit sector, working in policy areas such as education, housing affordability, and health care access.
Policy Priorities
education
Every child in RPS deserves to have a safe environment where they can learn, quality curriculum and textbooks, and great teachers that are adequately paid and feel supported. I am committed to funding RPS.
our environment
Our environment is our collective home and we must take care of it. I will work to expand our parks system and tree canopy, reduce our reliance on nonrenewable energy, address stormwater runoff, and more.
housing
Like other areas of the city, we have concerns around housing affordability. All residents in the 3rd District should have access to affordable, safe housing.
efficient city services
Richmond entrepreneurs should not have to go to adjacent counties to open their business, residents should not be paying erroneous water bills, and it should be easy to find information and request service on our City website.
vibrant Neighborhoods and Business corridors
Our neighborhoods are vibrant. Our long-term residents and new neighbors, our successful small businesses, and people like you make the 3rd home.
transparent, accessible government
I want to incorporate your voice and your vision for our district within the walls of City Hall. I will be accessible to all residents because, if you have questions or concerns, I want to be able to provide answers and solutions.
